Computers store incredible amounts of information. Because of this, spies often need to gain access to computers to find important information and clues. However, cyber security is getting better and better so even if you have the computer you need, you may still not have access to the files you want.

Hacking is how spies break into computers they need to access. While some hackers may use complex tools to break passwords or sneak in by exploiting backdoors in the computer's software, most hacking involves discretely stealing the user name and password of someone who has access to the information they need and using those credentials to get in.
